Residential Services

The Green Home Advantage, LLC (TGHA) offers four different residential energy service components.

  • RATINGS
    • Determine the HERS index score.  This is a measure of a home's energy performance.  Either an existing home or a set of plans may be rated.
  • TESTING
    • Includes Blower Door and Duct Blaster (when applicable), as well as a survey of the home in terms of its structure, insulation, mechanical systems, and other features as they pertain to energy performance.
    • Results are modeled in computer software to calculate the energy performance.
  • CONSULTING
    • Includes expected energy savings from proposed improvements.
    • For ENERGY STAR builders, this includes modeling trade-offs to meet program requirements.
  • DIAGNOSTICS
    • Related to testing, but includes more in-depth analysis to pinpoint problem areas and may include thermal imaging and/or zonal pressure analysis.

BUILDING PERFORMANCE INSPECTIONS (BPI), commonly known as "Home Energy Audits," include RATING, TESTING, and CONSULTING services.

    • The same one-page summary is provided.
    • Cost: $100 up to 2,500 sqft. Additional $10 for each 100 sqft. (NO final inspection fee.)
  • For property not eligible under SEED and/or HERO,
